Frequently Asked Questions
Is your coating heat resistant?
Our coating is heat and water resistant. That being said we cannot warranty your use of the fireplace as there is a difference between heat resistant and heat proof. So this is recommended for cosmetic use only. Which doesn’t mean the coating won’t last a long time it likely will. But we can’t guarantee that it won’t be damaged if you actually use the fireplace on a regular basis. If damage did occur it could be repaired easily and would be covered by the warranty with a deductible. As it would not be an issue of our workmanship in those instances a deductible would apply. Most of our competitors warranties wouldn’t even cover it with a deductible. They’d make you pay the full retail price to have it redone.
What if my grout is in poor condition?
So if the grout is missing in a few spots or loose in a few spots spot repair of the grout is included with reglazing. But if the grout is universally failing and needs to be totally regrouted that is not included. Thankfully it’s not very common most grout can be saved.
